Hi everyone and Happy New Year! Lots going on as usual...I am sure for ALL of you. I have some good shows planned and the cookies are taking off and my song "I Wanna Live Like That" is getting a lot of attention. 5 new cuts on it in 2012 alone! I am also writing and pitching some songs for Cassedee Pope who just won The Voice. I'm excited about that for sure...and so is my 13 year old!
Stay tuned for some February shows and more stuff! xoxo CA
Happy Holidays everyone. I know we are ALL looking forward to 2013...should be a great year!! A new video just came out on my song "I Wanna Live Like That" by a young TV star named Uriah Shelton. He is a main character on The Glades...one of my favorite shows. He is a very cute kid and the version is really nice. Check him out on You Tube.

Hey there...
Taking a little break to put together some new songs and plan my next move. I will be building a new band and I'm exited about the options.
I am still continueing to get cuts on I Wanna Live Like That...which is great! I think we might be up to over 40 cuts!! Artist from Australia, UK and all across the US and Canada....so fun for me.
On another note, my son Jesse, just got the opportunity to play CHAD PETREE in the new Shiny Toy Gun video. He was a trouper and worked from about 4pm to 1:30am...and still ready for more! He has the bug!!
And Tessa...well she is doing so well. She got a production deal with Ken Stacey, a voice coach from American Idol for 5 years. She and he have written three songs and recorded two of them so far...and they are great! Soon we will be able to play them for all of you.
Don't forget to continue to pass around the video link of No Matter What featuring Tessa and her friends. The bullying problem is still alive and hurting people...so get the message out there to friends and family. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdm_xBJ2L84

Hey gang,
Lot's happening. We had such a ball at the Coach House with JD! Thanks to my amazing band for making it FUN for our audience. We had great feedback. Currently we are working on a new video using a song from my CD NO MATTER WHAT. The video has been commissioned by Peace Builders of Long Beach. We starting the process already and it is going to be very cool. The concept is an anti-bullying campaign designed to go into the schools. Peace Builders is involved in that market already so we will have some fun with it. The Gromble, from Orange County, is playing on the track and we will STILL keep the vocal of Alan Doyle from Great Big Sea on the second verse. We are looking for some celebrities to go into the video so keep that in mind. More to come.....
The new anti bullying video is out..and we need some sharing to happen! Chad Petree, the lead singer and writer for Shiny Toy Guns, was gracious enough to sing on the song with me. So fun! The Gromble, of course played the music...and Alec Watson and Steven McClintock produced it! So

Toronto Canada Review-Cadillac Lounge
Cathy-Anne McClintock’s Canadian Music Fest set was a unique breath of fresh air, blending folk, country and bluegrass influences with pop and adult contemporary. I brought home her self-titled debut solo CD, which is stunningly produced by McClintock, who spent many years in Canadian bluegrass band Tumbleweed, and award-winning songwriter/producer Steven McClintock. The album has some pretty impressive contributors, including Grammy Award-winning bluegrass/folk legend Tim O’Brien and fellow Canadian Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea). The songs on the album and live show are honest and memorable, including “How Can We Be Friends,” “I Wanna Live Like That,” “Crazy Bout You” and her softer, gentler version of “Strong Enough” that Sheryl Crow made popular. This beautiful Canadian living in the U.S. seems to have already won a ton of awards internationally. “Who Knew” is another song of Cathy-Anne’s that made me wish I knew about this talent long before now, however, it definitely won’t be the last we see of her. — Diane Foy http://www.spillmagazine.com/ CD Review: Power Source Magazine March 2010 Cathy-Anne McClintock and her husband/producer Steven McClintock were long time Nashville residents who have been living in California for several years now. She has also been a longtime favorite on Canada's country and bluegrass scene. This wonderful collection of 13 acoustic songs features Cathy-Anne's soulful alto soaring over well-constructed melodies and lyrics. Highlights include the song "I Wanna Live Like That" with Tim O'Brien and "Up", a song lovingly dedicated to Cathy-Anne's mother. "Crazy Bout You" is Cathy-Anne at her playful best, backed by Steven's sensational arrangement. Phil Sweetland Interview with Cathy-Anne McClintock The show is called NewNotes and aired at 5pm PST on Sat. and Sun. March 27th and 28th.

Cathy Anne McClintock: This artist is so unique. Her band was totally organic with stand up bass, light acoustic percussion and a fiddle player. The crowd went nuts over her and gave her an encore, making her one of only two who received that kind of ovation at this event. She is nominated for Americana Artist of the Year.
Cathy-Anne McClintock with Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea are one of the Finalists of the 2010 6th Annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) with the celtic duet NO MATTER WHAT.

The band is focused around Canadian, lead singer Cathy-Anne McClintock and is her vision. It is strongly influenced from her 10 year tenure with her multi award winning Canadian Bluegrass band, Tumbleweed.
Add to that the love for U2, Sting, the Stanley Brothers, Tim O'Brien, Alison Krauss, Larry Sparks Conway Twitty, Trisha Yearwood and the Beatles(to name a few!!) you come up with a great mix of material. Cathy-Anne also has a feature performance in Ed Zwick's film, 'Leaving Normal'.
Strong songs with good lyric content performed by some of the top players in their genres. The vocal stylings of Cathy-Anne along with her original and autobiographical tunes (sometimes!!), great harmonies and acoustic instrumentation definitely lead the direction of the act.
Cathy-Anne is a mom of two beautiful kids that BOTH sing and love music and resides in Long Beach California.
